Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is child care available?
A: Yes, child care will be offered during scheduled daytime classes (Monday-Thursday, 9 am to noon and Saturday, 9 am to 11 am). Child care is also available during daytime leagues and evening fitness classes if enough participants apply.

Q: Is there a monthly "club minimum" at Clayview?
A: No, there is no club minimum.

Q: What does my membership include?
A: Your membership gives you full access to use the outdoor tennis courts, pool, and fitness facilities. Child care, instructional classes, clinics and use of the indoor tennis courts do require a small additional charge.

Q: What are pool hours during the summer?
A: Pool hours are typically 12 pm to 9 pm, seven days a week. We will also offer morning lap swim.The pool usually opens around the last week of May and closes after Labor Day weekend.

Q: What are your indoor tennis court rates?
A: We have three court rates:
Off peak - $20/hr (Mon-Fri, 8 am to 5 pm, Saturday 11 am to 8 pm, and Sunday, 11 am to 7 pm)
Peak - $28/hr (Mon-Fri, 5 pm to close)
Walk on - $10/hr (last hour we are open each day, non reservable)
The use of Clayview tennis courts is a member-only privilege. Non members must be accompanied by a member to participate.

Q: Can I bring a non member friend to Clayview?
A: Yes, you may bring a local friend to Clayview up to 3 times in a 12-month period for a small guest fee each time. Immediate family may visit 5 times in a 12-month period. Special provisions apply for out-of-town guests.

Q: Do I have to be a member to participate in Clayview's swim team or group swim lessons?
A: Participation in swim team, dive team, or group swim lessons is a member-only benefit. However, non members may take private swim lessons as desired.

Q: How early can I come in to work out at Clayview?
A: Members may obtain an early morning workout code that allows access as early as 5 am, 7 days a week.

Q: Can I take a session of tennis clinics as a non member? What about private lessons?
A: Non members are allowed to take one session of tennis clinics without joining. A non member fee applies. Private lessons are available to non members on an ongoing basis. The first lesson may be taken at the member rate, and subsequent lessons are charged at the non member rate (unless the lessons are taking place concurrently with a session of tennis clinics). Q: What about your outdoor tennis courts?
A: Clayview's outdoor tennis courts are always free to members. Members may also stay late to play on our four lighted courts during the summers.
