	Welcome to swim team! The 2011 season is underway! In order to better serve our families, we have formed a swim team board of directors (listed at the bottom of this page) to handle all swim team decisions. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the board members to answer those questions. We continue to value every family and hope each of you will return to help carry on the very wonderful, fun, and family-oriented traditions we continue to create here at Clayview! Click Here for 2011 Registration Forms PRACTICE SCHEDULE until May 31: 4:30-5:30PM ages 11 and up 5:30-6:30PM ages 10 and under Little Cahunas do not start until June 1 at 10:15AM Coaches We are pleased to welcome Todd Harvey, head swim coach of Liberty North High School Swim Team, as head swim coach. Todd is currently a third grade teacher at Warren Hills Elementary. He began his swimming career in St. Charles, Illinois, where he was part of two second place team finishes and a state championship team title during his senior year. He continued swimming at the University of Iowa and was named team captain as a junior and senior. After finishing his college eligibility he continued as an undergraduate assistant to the University of Iowa Men's Swimming and Diving team while finishing a degree in sociology. In 1998 while attending The University of Central Missouri, Coach Harvey started the first boy's and girl's swim and dive program in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. The following year he took over the Park Hill South squad in its second year of existence, where he coached the girls' program for two years and the boys' program for 10 years. During his tenure at Park Hill South, Harvey coached four All-Americans, 21 All State athletes, 18 Honorable Mention All State athletes, one individual state champion (2007), one medley relay state championship (2006), ten consecutive team titles at the Suburban Conference Championships and eight years of finishing in the top twenty at the Missouri High School State Swimming and Diving Championships including a fourth (2006) and fifth (2007) place team finish. He just finished his inaugural season as the Head Coach for the Liberty North Swim and Dive program. We would also like to welcome Madison Cowart as the assistant coach this summer season. She is thrilled to be a part of the Clayview family. She has been swimming for 11 years, 2 on the Liberty Storm swim team, 6 on the Kearney Purple wave, and 8 for the Tsunami swim team while doing summer swim. Madison says, "I love being around the pool. I swam for the Liberty High School team all 4 years. I will be attending Truman State University in Kirksville in the fall. I look forward to meeting you all and working with your kids!" Registration May 1st, 2011 Sunday from 2-4 at Clayview Little Cahunas Little Cahunas is our “entry level” program for children on the team who are not yet physically able or confident enough to handle the demands of the competitive swim team practices and meets. We have put together a Little Cahunas checklist for each parent to complete for their child before the first practice so that the coaches can assess their abilities and provide them the best instruction possible. Little Cahunas will be eligible to participate in weekly Clayview meets, but the child will only be entered when and if the coach and parent feel the child is ready to participate. Little Cahunas will practice from 10:15-11 every day. Swimsuits Same suit as last year, will update more at a later date, will be available at registration.
