Coaches

Jacqueline Filardo jacquelinefilardo@clayview.com is serving as our Head Coach again this year as well as the Swim Lesson Coordinator. Jacqueline is attending the University of Missouri Columbia, working towards a degree in Communications. She enjoys all sports, but swam and played tennis for Clayview and Liberty High School. In swimming, her favorite strokes are butterfly and backstroke. She has two sisters who both swim for Clayview. She has a dog named Shrek. Growing up, her favorite part of being on Clayview swim team was the friendships and the competition.

Our assistant coaches this season are Blaine Hoppenrath and Bryan Eisenberger. Blaine is a Division I swimmer for the University of Nebraska as well as a long time member and former swimmer for Clayview. Brian is an '06, '07, and '08 NAIA National Swim Team Member from Lindenwood University and a lifelong Northland Conference swimmer

Little Cahunas

Little Cahunas is our “entry level” program for children on the team who are not yet physically able or confident enough to handle the demands of the competitive swim team practices and meets. We have put together a Little Cahunas checklist for each parent to complete for their child before the first practice so that the coaches can assess their abilities and provide them the best instruction possible. Little Cahunas will be eligible to participate in weekly Clayview meets, but the child will only be entered when and if the coach and parent feel the child is ready to participate. Little Cahunas will practice from 10:15-11 every day.

Parents, as always, WE WILL NEED YOUR HELP TO RUN THE MEETS! If everyone does their part, it is an enjoyable experience, does not become a burden for anyone, and makes our swimming program as positive as possible for our children. New this year… each family is expected to help at every meet!
